spensers wild west story

I just finished reading robert parkers potshot. This is the 28th spenser book. It is one of my fave spenser books. It is pretty much a western story for today. This woman hires spenser to find out who killed her husband and theres a gang called the dell that makes the business owners pay them and the dell take whatever they want from the town. spenser takes on some members of the dell and then the mayor of the town hires spenser to get rid of the dell. The book is one of my faves because it is a western story. It,s like the magnificent seven as written by robert parker. The story is good, the dialogue is good. It,s funny and exciting, action packed. The only bad thing about it is theres so much build up to the ending and all the action happens too fast. the ending needed to be longer and there sould have been more action at the end.It,s still one of the better books that has came out in the last 10 years. even though it is book number 28 the series was still going strong and the next 2 books are good then the series started going down hill. Anyone that likes westerns or is a robert parker fan sould read potshot. I give the book 3 stars.
