psychic night

I know that it,s still a month away but for my psychic night, I,m still waiting on 24 people to let me know if they are coming or not. When having something like this you want to invite everyone and thats what i did and i had a total brain fart and forgot some friends of mine live far away like in maine and NH. I invited them because i like them to be there but like i said i forgot how far away they are and it would,t be right to ask them to come all this way on a monday night when i know they have to work the next day. I also did,t think about how some people just don,t believe in psychics. If you don,t believe in psychics thats ok and just say hey i don,t believe in this stuff. Trust me i have had family members tell me they don,t believe in psychics and thats cool with me. I like to get a head count sometime soon on who is coming to the psychic night. The last time i did this it was myself, mom, my godmother and my moms friends from work. This time i like to have my family and my friends here for this. Like i said before on the facebook wall I understand if people can,t come becase they are working that night or the next day and all i ask is for people to let me know you can,t come. If you don,t want to come becase you don,t believe in psychics then thats alright and just say thank you for inviting me but i don,t want to go. For anyone who is coming, the last time the psychic was here, she was here for 3 and a half hrs. it usually does,t last that long but it did that night so i,m giving everyone a heads up that it could last most of the night. I hope people will come and it is worth the time and money. I,ll remined people again about it 2 weeks ahead of time.

my review of john carter

I went to the movies last night and saw john carter. I really liked it. If you ever wondered where all your fave books, comic books, movies, tv shows came from, they all came from john carter. When you see it, the movie will remined you of everything from superman, buck rogers, star wars, star trek, the matrix. It,s still a good popcorn/pulp movie. I know my friends will enjoy it. It has good action, good battle scenes, it,s funny, the aliens and creatures are cool, everyone will love the alien creature that is like a dog. This is very much a origin story. It has kind of a slow pace to it but it always keeps you interested in whats going on. It was fun seeing a movie and not knowing everything that was going to happen. I say it,s worth seeing if its still playing anywhere near you. I give it 3 stars.

movie review drive

I rented drive because friends of mine loved it and for anyone who does,t know it was based on a book and theres a sequel to the book. My friend is reading the book sequel now. I thought i rent it and see what all the hype was about and wow I don,t see what people are talking about. I was bored out of my mind for most of the movie and by the time we see some action, I just did,t care. I have to say albert brooks surprising made for a good bad guy. He was still funny but also a badass. I never would have expected that from albert brooks. I did,t like the movie. Save your time and money. I give drive 1 star.

comic con

I just want to tell everyone the boston comic con is coming up soon. It,s the weekend of april 21-22. My friend jim biggie will be making his debut at the boston comic con with his comic book RGA. His cocreater frankie washingtion on the comic will not be able to make it to the boston comic con but both jim and frankie will be at the wizard world comic con this summer. I will remined people about the boston comic con when we get near to the date of the con. I hope everyone will come out to show your support to jim and frankies comic book RGA and come by to say hello to jim and mybe pick up a RGA teeshirt or poster.

omega level

I wanted to write about a website i visit everyday called omega level. It,s run by 2 friends of mine. The names they use on the site are caffeine powered and rendar frankenstein. They started omega level 3 years ago and they just got there one millionth hit. This is a big deal and i,m very excited for them. It,s a great and fun website. They put alot of work into it and they write and post something everyday. I just wanted to take the time to say how happy i am for them and say keep up the good work. I can,t wait to see what they will do next with the website. I hope everyone will visit the site. omega-level.net

movie review drunken fist boxing

I rented 2 jackie chan movies tonight the prisoner and drunken fist boxing. I got screwed with both movies. This is not a jackie chan movie at all, it only has clips of his movie drunken master in it. The real star of the movie is cassanova wong. For a kung fu movie the fighting is pretty decent to good. The movie itself is bad. I can,t believe this is a offical dvd because the movie looked like it was a bootleg copy. It looked bad and you can tell stuff got cut out. I give it 1 star.

movie review the prisoner

I watched the prisoner and I did,t like it. The cover art makes it look like jackie chan is the star of the movie and thats a big fat lie. Jackie chan is barely in the movie at all. it,s your run of the mill prison movie. The fights are alright. The movie ends with a gun battle and jackie chan gets killed at the end of the movie. Thank god i only paid a 1$ to rent this movie. Don,t waste your time on this movie. I give it 1 star.

Theres a new kung fu movie coming out called the raid and all the reviews i read for it said it,s a awesome movie. It did,t seem like it was going to play in boston because the movie sould have came out yesterday and did,t. I did some looking online and the raid will be playing at the kendall sq movie theatre. It,s my least fave movie theatre, the seats are not great, the popcorn is ok and everything costs too much and walking there is no fun. I really would like to see this movie and it sucks that the only theatre that will be showing it is the kendall. The raid starts next weekend 3-30 at the kendall.

I saw a preview for a movie called karate robo zaborgar and it will be playing at the brattle theatre in harvard sq on 4-1. Yes I know that is april fools day and yes it is a real movie. It looks pretty funny to me. Anyone who is a fan of robot movies will want to check it out.

random thought of the day

For some reason i thought yesterday was st.paddys day and today i was out and about saw people all in green and was like crap how did i get the day wrong. I saw people going into hugh O' neils at like 2:30 in the afternoon and was surprised at how many people were there that early in the day. I think my best st.paddys day was when i went to london and i got to spend st.patricks day in merry old london having drinks with my sister and best friends. I almost forgot to put my 2nd and last best st.paddys day was i had gone out to rent a movie and was on my way home and ran into one of my friends and my friend had a extra ticket to a irish show here in melrose and asked if i like go to the show and use the extra ticket and i said yes and it was a great show and a fun night with my two friends.

my thoughts on the dark shadows preview

I just saw the first preview for tim burtons dark shadows and wow I,m shocked, it looks nothing like the old tv show and it,s a comedy. It sould not be a comedy, it sould be creepy and scary. I,m a fan of both the old dark shadows tv show and tim burton and i would have thought he be the right person to bring dark shadows to the big screen and after seeing the preview, boy was i wrong. This movie looks like it,s making fun of not only the tv show but vampire movies like twilight. I,m sad that tim burton screwed up what sould have been a good movie. I may still see it but it,s a shame that if i do see it that i know i,ll be seeing a comedy instead of a scary movie.

my thoughts on the wonder woman tv show

I finished watching the old wonder woman tv show and it,s still fun to watch. The 1st and 2nd seasons are great but season 3 sucks. the shows 1st season took place during world war 2 and it,s a great way to start getting to know the character and the episodes were good and fun. For season 2 the tv big wigs felt it was costing too much money to keep the show in WW2 so they bring wonder woman into the 1970s and it worked having wonder woman in the disco era and the show was still just as fun and action packed as it,s first season. For season 3 it almost feels like they are writing out the title character out of her own show. It becomes more about dina prince and less about wonder woman. Season 3 episodes suck and are also boring, there were a few decent episodes but the shows final season was a bust. linda carter was perfect as wonder woman and no one will ever top her as DC COMICS BEST SUPER FEMALE HERO. chris reeves will always be superman and linda carter will always be wonder woman. For comic book fans it is a good show and if you grew up with shows like wonder woman then it is a must buy dvd boxset.

ramdom thought of the day

I went out to dinner tonight with my family for my aunts 70th birthday and I was talking to one of my cousins and he said he thinks scarface is a better movie then the godfather. I said i disagree with that and i think the godfather is the better movie. My cousin likes scarface better because it,s more action packed. So heres my thoughts on both movies, scarface is a great movie, does have alot of action, good story and good acting. The godfather is a classic movie with a excellent story, great cast, the acting from everyone is excellent, it grabs you right from the first scene and never lets go. It works both as a mob story and a family story. Both movies are bloody but scarface can be gory as hell. I can still watch the godfather and enjoy the movie but scarface is in my mind more of a drug movie instead of being a mob movie and thats why i,ll never watch scarface again because it is a drug movie. So i want to ask everyone what do you think is the better movie scarface or the godfather?

my review of the lorax

I saw the lorax this weekend and it was good. Danny Devito was perfect as the lorax. The amation was great, the colors are eye poping and it is funny. I went with auntie ellen to see it and we tryed to see a early show but by the time it was our turn to buy tickets it was sold out. It,s been forever since i went to a movie that was sold out. We got tickets and went to a later show. I,m shocked at how good the kids were during the movie. If your a fan of danny devito or dr.suess it is worth seeing. I give it 3 stars.

movie review

I finally saw tinker, tailor, soldier spy and it was worth the wait. Gary oldman is the star of the movie and i think he sould have won the oscar for best actor because thats how good he was in the movie. It,s a spy story that takes place in london in the early 1970s. The acting in this movie was nothing short of excellent. This is the best cast i have seen in a movie in years. I,m going to warn people that this is a slow paced movie, theres no action in it at all and it,s all about the acting. This is one of those movies that would bore the hell out of some people because it seems like nothing is really happening and like i said it,s not exciting at all. This is not a james bond spy movie, this is what the world of spys is really like. It,s a very story and character driven movie. I give the movie 4 stars. It,s the best movie i have seen so far this year.

movie theatre review

I went not this past weekend but the weekend before to hollywood hits. It,s a movie theatre that plays all the movies that have already left the other movie theatres and it,s like your last chance to see a movie you really wanted to see but missed it during it run at all the other theatres. There were not enough people working, the seats were so low i felt like i was sitting in one of my 3 year old nephews chairs. If the seats had been any lower, i would have been sitting on the floor. I been to alot of movie theares in my life but this one just took the cake. The way it,s set up is even strange. The popcorn was,t great. I don,t plan on going back there anytime soon.

I read we will see a new pacman cartoon series on the disney ch. It will be 26 episodes long. I,m sure everyone remembers the classic 80s pacman cartoon. Pacman is still one of my all time fave arcade games. I just hope they stick to pacmans classic look and don,t screw with him too much. I hope we will see the ghosts in the new cartoon.

movie review

I went to the movies over the weekend and saw the woman in black. I really wanted to see it for 2 reasons number 1 because it,s dan radciffes first movie after the end of the harry potter series and 2 because it,s the return of hammer horror. Hammer was a movie company back in the late 50s to late 70s that put out alot of classic horror movies. This is very much a old school haunted house/ghost story and this is a scary movie not a horror movie. It has alot of boo scares but has some decent real scares as well. This is the perfect movie for hammer to make a comeback with. Like i said it does feel old fashioned but it,s still a scary movie for today. At one point during the movie for 5 or 10 mins it,s scare after scare and todays movie fans expect that kind of thing to happen and thats the kind of thing hammer will have to do to make it in todays world of movies. This in my mind at least was dan radciffes make it or break it movie. He had to show everyone he could play other roles and parts besides harry potter and this role was as far from harry potter as he could get. I think this movie proves he has what it takes to be a real actor. I think he could grow up to be a good actor. If he keeps taking grown up roles that will challge him as a actor then i think he will become a good actor. Look at what happened to mark hamtil after the original star wars movies ended, his career went down hill and it seems like everyone else from those movies became big stars and he did,t. The same thing could have happened to dan radciffe, he could have gotten a few more movies because of harry potter then we likely never would have heard of him again. I want to say the movie is not as scary as it could have been. I say it,s still a good movie and give it 3 stars.

I just read we will see a star trek TNG and doctor who crossover comic. We will see the doctor team up with captain picard. It will be 8 issues long. I can,t wait to see what picard makes of the tardis. He,ll be like your ship looks like a phone box. I love to see Q pop up during the story. I think it could be a fun story. What do you scifi and comic fans think of this idea.

Well turns out i was wrong about that space 1999 remake. It will be a tv remake instead of a movie remake. I been thinking that there are no fun tv shows, everything now has to be grim and gitty and i don,t think that every scifi, fantasy show sould be like this. Lets see scifi and fantasy shows that are just fun. Something like space 1999 was fun, wild, campy, you never knew what would happen next. Lets see this remake be a fun show like the original.

I read theres talk of a death wish remake and some hollywood big shots want russell crowe to be the star of the movie. I,m sorry but crowe is the wrong actor to play this role. I have always liked the death wish series, yes the first movie was the best one and all the sequels kept adding more action and each sequel was a little more over the top then the last one. I read they plan on making this new movie more true to the book instead of it just being a remake of the original movie. So at some point i,m going to read the book. I bet alot of people did,t know death wish was based on a book and that the book had it,s own sequel.

Well the website for robot god akamatsu went live this week and it,s a great site and i hope everyone will go visit it at robotgodakamatsu.com you can read the first chapter of robot god akamatsu on the site for free and let me now write my review of Robot god akamatsu and from this point on i,ll be just saying RGA for short. The first chapter of RGA is excellent. It really grabs you from the get go and makes you want to keep reading to find out what will happen next. The story and artwork are excellent. The fact that this giant robot story takes place in boston is very cool and everyone will have fun spoting all the boston landmarks in this first chapter. I like the fact that it,s a black and white comic because i think that will help give more impact to stuff that will happen in the comic. Like if my friend jim did a scene where we see the shadow of robot god or a giant monster and seeing that shadow keep getting bigger until we finally see the robot or giant monster will make the scene scaier or ceeper because it,s in black and white. Anyone that grew up during the 80s watching all the giant robot cartoons will love RGA. I truly believe robot god akamatsu will be a big hit and i want to do whatever i can to help my friend jim biggie and his friend frankie washington make RGA the hit comic book i know it will be. Even though i have trouble talking sometimes, i,m doing to try my best to get people to go to see jim and frankie when they are at the boston comic con and when they will be at wizard world. I,m going to do what i can because thats how much i believe in RGA and also because i know my friend jim would do the same thing for me. I hope when it comes time for the boston comic con that everyone will come support jim and frankie and ROBOT GOD AKAMATSU.

I just read we will not see the last mike hammer book that mickey spillane wrote himself until 2014. I think it sucks we have to wait 2 more years to find out how spillane wanted to end his series.

I saw in the newspaper that meryl streep won the golden globe for her new movie the iron lady. For anyone who does,t know it,s about the life of margaret thatcher.I heard meryl streep is going to get a oscar nod for this movie and i don,t think she sould get a oscar nod this year and heres why i think that because the movie just came out this past weekend. That makes it a 2012 movie and that means this movie sould,t get any kind of oscar nods until next year. I don,t think it be fair to the other actress whos movies came out LAST YEAR for meryly streep to get a oscar nod this year. I say give the other actress there chance at taking home the gold this year. Since it came out in 2012 means it sould have to wait until next years oscars. I just read we will see a 3d series/season of sherlock. It,s a new tv series about sherlock holmes and dr.watson working on cases today.

My review of sherlock holmes 2

I got to see the new sherlock holmes movie and it was good. Thank you katie and pete for the gift card, i still have enough money on it to see another movie. I have read the original sherlock holmes storys and know them well. This new movie is a very loose take on the final problem. These movies are more action/adventure type storys instead of being mystery storys. Downey jr and jude law are why i like these movies as much as i do. They make for a great holmes and watson and they are what make these movies so much fun to watch. I think they tried too hard to make this new movie funny. There was always humor in the original storys but they are trying too hard to also make these comedys as well as being action movies. Stephen fry was perfect as mycoft holmes. Jared harris was excellent as professor moriarty. Watching holmes and moriarty match wits with each other was fun to watch. The way it ends, we could still see them do the next holmes story. What i like to see them do is start taking on the untold cases of sherlock holmes. I give it 3 stars.

my best movies of 2011 list

heres my picks for best movies i saw last year. Xmen first class, captain america,harry potter and the deathly hallows, thor, rango, kung fu panda 2, the muppets, rise of the planet of the apes. It,s looking doubtful that i,ll see sherlock holmes and MI4. If i do get around to seeing them and think they are great then i,ll add them to the list.

random thought of the day

I was told today is the 20 year ann of mikes death. Mike was one of my cousins best friends and mike was family. Mike was at every family party, event, cookout, vactions to hamption beach. He was a great guy. I still remember the day he died, it happened one weekend and the next day i wake up and my parents were crying there eyes out. I think that was the first time i saw my dad cry. You could see how heartbroken they were. Like i said mike was,t just another friend, he was family. Why do the good die young? I think mike is the reason why i think of my own group of friends as family. My friends are like another family to me. I miss you mike and wish you were here. I hope your with andrew and wish you and andrew could have met katies kids luke and kara.
