my review of the dark knight returns part 2

Well the rest of the dark knight returns pissed me off. They make one big change that ruins the movie for everyone who is a batman fan and I,m sure alot of people will be enraged by this. In the comic book batman has one last fight with the joker and the fight ends by batman breaking the jokers back to the point that he will never be able to walk again. batman does this as a way of making sure the joker can never escape from jail or the nuthouse to ever harm anyone ever again. In the movie batman breaks his biggest rule and that is he kills the joker. Yes batman our hero/dark knight kills the joker. The joker lives long enough to say I win. I,m sorry but batman would never,ever kill anyone even the joker, thats not who batman is and one of the many reasons he does,t use a gun. batman is a good guy, a hero, yes he breaks the law, he roughs up the bad guys but he NEVER KILLS, thats just not his way of doing things. I was shocked and pissed off. How dare they do something like this to one of my favorite comic book heros. In this movie we even see batman fight superman. Batman has made a suit that makes him almost as strong as superman so that it can be a fair fight and guess what batman wins the fight. Yes the dark knight beat the man of steel in a fair fight and batman says to superman I want you to remember who beat you. The movie ends with the death of bruce wayne and we see on a news report that the world finds out that bruce wayne was batman. We see bruce wayne is still alive and is going to start to train his own army of people to be batmen. I did,t like this movie at all and If DC was going to make a movie based on this story then they sould have made the comic into a movie instead of giving us fans this so called movie. I hope one day to see a good movie made from the dark knight returns comic book.

This new DC comics direct to dvd movie is a 2 part movie and this is a review of part 1. This new movie is based on the best batman story ever written. It,s about a older bruce wayne, who is now in his mid 50s and he retired from being the batman 10 years ago. We are never told why he hung up the cape and mask of batman. Crime is at a alltime high in the city and 2 punks try to mugg bruce wayne and thats what makes him become batman again. This is batman like we never seen him before. the batmoblie is now a tank. I like that we see that batman is older now and that he,s not as fast or quick as he used to be. he,s slow but still strong and is able to still hold his own in a fight with someone younger and stronger then he is. the movie is pretty faithful to the comic book but at the same time changes or leaves things out. If the makers of the movie had stayed true to the comic more the movie would have been better. Peter weller is the vocie of batman. This was the first time in the history of the batman comics that robin is a girl in this story. bruce had some kind of falling out with the original boy wonder and there were other robins after him. the new robin is a fun character in a grim story like this. I,m looking forward to seeing the rest of the movie when part 2 comes out soon.

my review of django unchained

I have to say that Quentin tarantino has done it again and made another excellent movie. I have been a fan of tarantion since I first saw pulp fiction and I now have seen every movie of his in the theatre since jackie brown. This is tarantinos bloodest movie he,s ever made. It,s a western so you have to expect it to be bloody, but the movie is still funny. I have to say that jamie foxx is great and it,s a damn shame that he screwed himself out of a oscar nod. Jamie foxx was on SNL and he went on a rant that cost him any chance of getting a oscar nod. samuel L jackson gives his best performance since pulp fiction and dare I say his best performance of his whole career as a actor. This is the fist time in years we are seeing sam jackson the actor, where in everyother movie he,s been in the last 15 or so years he,s always sam jackson, and we finally get remined of how good a actor he can be when he gets a role like this that demands he better be acting and not be his usually self. I never would have thought we ever see king of the world leonardo dicaprio play a bad guy role like this. leo is a real villian in this movie. I have to say that leo dicaprio gave a excellent performance and I did,t know he had it in him to play this kind of role. I have to say that christoph waltz is excellent and he is so great that he,s one of those rare actors that could read the phone book and I still be speehless at how good he is. If your a tarantion fan then this movie is a must see. I will warn everyone right now that this movie takes place before the civil war so they use the n word alot in this movie. This is also tarantinos longest movie, it,s almost 3 hrs long. I give it 4 stars and hope to mybe see it again before it leaves movie theatres. For you film buffs, there was a western movie that came out in the 1960s called django and the star of that movie has a bit part in this new movie.

I just read that neil gaiman and his wife will be at the brattle movie theatre may 18 and 19. the brattle is trying to raise money to update the theatre and as part of there kickstarter campaign a few very lucky people will get to hang out with neil gaiman and his wife, they will take you to one of there faveorite haunts, you,ll get to watch a movie with them at the brattle and neil gaiman will sign stuff for you. for more info go to the brattles website.

My best friend jim biggie did a cover for the G.I. JOE comic book series last year and a comic book website called comicsalliance.com did a list of the best comic book covers of last year and they picked my friend jims G.I.JOE cover as being one of the best of last year. I,m so happy and excited for him. Jim is a great artiest and his artwork has always been excellent. everybody now knows what a great artiest he really is. I think this honor just goes to show this will be his year.

doctor who news

I read that we will see the 2nd half of series 7 this spring. I think that the premire date is 3-30. We will see the big 50th anniversary episode in the fall. It will be a 1 hr long episode. We will see a adventure in space and time in the fall. It will be 90 mins long and it,s about the early days of the show. Starting this sunday night 1-27 BBC america will be airing old episodes of doctor who one every month for the rest of the year. They will start with the first doctor story the aztecs.

goodbye mike

I still can,t believe my friend mike has died. for people who don,t know mike had cancer about 15 years ago and becuase of all the chemo treatments and everything else, mike had next to no immune and when mike would get just a cold, it would be like someone else getting the flu, it would kick his butt. becuase of this mike would be in and out of the hospital alot for the rest of his life. he even got the grown up chicken pox and since they did,t catch it in time, mike lost sight in one of his eyes. mike never gave up, he was always a fighter, he never let things get him down. because of one of the many times he got sick, mike was told he have to be housebound for a long time so someone, I forget who gave mike a set of legos to help kill some time. whoever gave mike that set of legos, ended up giving mike a hobby that he would love for the rest of his life. I bet no one knows there are lego cons all around the world and not just mike but other grown ups love to play with legos. the stuff mike made was awesome, it was better then anything the lego company makes. Mike even got to know people that work for the lego company and they loved his stuff so much they asked him if he like to work for them. He would say no because the job would have meant he have to move far away and mike did,t want to do that. When it came to legos, mike had a real talent. Mike will always be one of the nicest,happest guys I will ever know. Mike did,t have a mean bone in his whole body. He was always happy, always had a smile on his face, had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh. I gave mike the nickname the duke, he had something done to his leg and he walked like john wayne so he got the name duke. Mike also had the nickname count blockula because of his love of horror movies and legos. Mike is still the only person I have seen put candy corn on his pizza and eat it. I got to see the big apple and merry old london with mike. I remember our first night in london, jim or mike made some joke and we all laughed and we did,t stop laughing for like 20 mins, because once one of us stopped laughing, someone else would start to laugh and it went on like that for 20 mins or a half hr. I will miss you mike. you will always be one of my best friends.

I read that we may see the return of twin peaks. we could mybe see a 3d season of the show that would pick up from where the show left off and it would take place today. theres hope that most of the cast would come back.

WELL HERES MY FIRST REVIEW OF THE NEW YEAR. I JUST FINISHED READING JAMES HERBERTS NEW BOOK ASH, IT,S THE 3D BOOK IN HIS DAVID ASH SERIES. THE FIRST BOOK WAS HAUNTED, WHICH IS A HAUNTED HOUSE STORY, BOOK 2 IS THE GHOSTS OF SLEATH, IT,S ABOUT A HAUNTED TOWN. THIS NEW BOOK I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE WAS ABOUT A HAUNTED CASTLE. JAMES HERBERTS FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR A NEW STORY ABOUT DAVID ASH, I BELIEVE THE 2ND BOOK CAME OUT SOMETIME IN THE 90S. THIS BOOK WAS NOT WORTH THE WAIT. MY PROBLEM WITH IT IS THAT IT TAKES TOO DAMN LONG TO GET STARTED. IT TAKES 125 OR 150 PAGES FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER DAVID ASH JUST TO GET TO THE CASTLE. NOW THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SECOND, IT TAKES WELL OVER A 100 PAGES TO GET DAVID ASH TO THE DAMN CASTLE WHEN HE SOULD HAVE GOTTEN THERE BY PAGE 10,20,MYBE 30. I WAS BORED OUT OF MY MIND, UNLESS A BOOK GRABS ME RIGHT OFF THE BAT, IT WILL TAKE ME LONGER TO MYBE GET INTERESTED IN THE STORY. WHEN I START TO GET BORED WITH THE STORY I,M READING THEN IT BECOMES WORK FOR ME TO KEEP READING IT AND HOPE IT WILL GET BETTER SOON. BY THE TIME SOMETIME GHOSTLY HAPPENS, ALL I COULD THINK OF IS IT,S ABOUT TIME SOMETHING SCARY HAPPENED. JAMES HERBERT RIPS OFF POTLERGEIST AND A DARIO ARGENTO MOVIE FOR ONE GROSS OUT SCENE. I WOULD LOVE TO SAY TO JAMES HERBERT THANKS FOR WASTING SO MUCH OF MY TIME,NOW GIVE ME BACK THAT TIME YOU JERK. MY 4 YEAR OLD NEPHEW OR 1 YEAR OLD GODCHILD COULD HAVE WRITTEN A BETTER BOOK THEN THIS. IF YOU CAN,T TELL BY NOW, I HATED THE BOOK. I,M GOING TO TAKE IT TO BARNES AND NOBLE AND SEE IF I CAN EXCHANGE IT FOR SOMETHING GOOD. DON,T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS BOOK.

NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY. I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A SAFE AND FUN NEW YEARS EVE. MY GOALS FOR THIS NEW YEAR IS TO DO MORE WITH MY BLOG AND MAKE IT EVEN BETTER. NOW THAT ROBERT PARKER IS GONE, I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF TRYING TO WRITE MY OWN MYSTERY SERIES LIKE THE SPENSER BOOK SERIES. MY SERIES WOULD MOSTLY TAKE PLACE IN BOSTON BUT WOULD ALSO TAKE PLACE IN MELROSE. MY BOOKS WOULD BE LIGHT AND FUNNY. THE MAIN CHARACTER WOULD PRETTY MUCH BE ME, JUST PICTURE ME AS A P.I.
